This unit was rebuilt in 82 to 1250 hp , it has a GP style fan atop the front of the hood for the extra required cooling

GP40 771 Pilot Details.      Note variations in the yellow safety tape on the handrails and also the bottom edge of the plow where it has hit the rails.
GP40 784 (ex ICG) leading GP40 783 (ex ICG), F7B 4075 road slug, GP40-2 797.  This lashup had just turned a train over to the yard crew and was heading into the shop area for servicing when I got there. Note the switcher in the background exhaust
F7B 4075 Road Slug close up. Note what appears to be windows in the far end/side of the unit. This unit was wrecked 5/17/1989 less than a year after this photo was taken.
